I know this is gross.......There is a toenail situation.........the toenail had been dead and thick and discolored.......I cut the toenail away (with no pain due to it being dead).........what will happen next? Is the toenail gone forever or will a new one grow back? What should be done - cover it or let the air get to it? Sorry for the grossness..........Toe nail question........will it grow back?
Just leave it alone and it'll grow back by itself. My friend's little bro accidently slammed the car door on his toe and it fell off later, but it grew up.

Well, looking at it would be gross but I'm a doctor. In a few weeks it should.The toe nail is made up of calcium. So the calcium travels through you body and place it where it is needed most.Oh let the air get it.How did the toenail get off?
