Which vitamin helps hair and nails grow faster?

It is easier to prevent the falling out of healthy hairs than to regrow hair in follicles that are already dormant. Finasteride (marketed in the U.S. as Propecia) and minoxidil (marketed in the U.S. as Rogaine, and some places as Regaine) have shown some success in partially reversing loss. In a one one-year study of finasteride, evaluation after one year showed five of 21 subjects (23.8%) had two-grade improvement in MNHS grade on a modified Norwood/Hamilton scale and 12 of 21 subjects (57.1%) had one-grade improvement; the others remained at the same grade.[6] However such treatments are generally ineffective at treating extreme cases of hair loss.[7]

If you are generally healthy and don't have abnormally slow growth due to vitamin deficiencies or medical conditions, nothing will significantly improve the speed. However, I do find that not obsessing on it will make them seem to grow faster. A watched pot never boils....;)

Prenatal vitamins usually work best. I got scammed into buying some expensive Hair and Nail vitamins and they didn't work any better than the prenatals. They sell them in bulk at Costco or Sam's Club for less than $15 a bottle and work extremely well.
NIOXIN HAIR AND NAIL VITAMIN IS THE BEST AND YOU CAN BUY IT WHEREVER THEY SELL NIOXIN. MAYBE ORDER IT FROM NIOXIN.COM
Vitamin E and I recommend eating jello frequently as a dessert
Some of the B Vitamins and Vitamin E, you can get a good balance in those skin and hair combined multi-vitamins.
D,C,and protein plus B vitamins
prenatal works awsome, I have also heard something about something about kitchen oil, I don't know much about that though,
Calcium will help your nails, teeth, and bones get stronger. Apparently potassium is good for your hair.
vit b but by eating jello or soaking your fingers in it this helps
no vitamin is going to make ur hair grow faster, i am a cosmetologist and people ask me this all the time. your hair is made out of protein, and so the more protein you eat, the better your hair is going to turn out, texture wise i mean. peanut butter helps..if you eat junk food, it shows in your hair and on your skin so try to stay away from that..its like that saying..you are what u eat , and its true.

i will tell you a shampoo %26amp; conditioner that will make ur hair grow and make it thicker, it is called nioxin, you can find it at harmons and at some salons, what it does is, any hair that falls out and stops growing back in that place, it will re-open your hair follicle and try to make that hair grow back, i dont know if your looking for thicker hair, but it does help with the growth, on the other hand i dont know much about nails because i dont work with nails. i hope this helps.

If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin

Try GNC, they make a supplement called ';Nourishair'; in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a ';Hair skin and nails'; formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth. It can take 6 to 8 weeks of daily use before you notice results.
Vitamin E is meant for stimulating the oxygen intake in the body and improves the blood circulation. If there is proper blood circulation, hair growth is enhanced. Vitamin C assists the normal functioning of capillaries that carries the blood to the scalp. Even zinc is an important supplement, which should be consumed as it assists hair growth.

Biotin is necessary for hair growth. There are many sources of biotin such as brewer's yeast, brown rice, bulgur, green peas, lentils, oats, soybeans, sunflower seeds, and walnuts. It is present in some shampoos, so you can use shampoos, which contain biotin. It is advised to consult a physician before taking any vitamins or medications for hair growth.
